Pink Ink Tattoo does not offer traditional tattoos. Currently, our services include medical & cosmetic tattoos related to Areolas, Vitiligo, Scar Camouflage, and Permanent Makeup.

Short answer: Almost everything.

Here's a quick breakdown of the differences:

• Our certified specialists are medically trained professionals with specific, extensive, and up-to-date current practices for specialty services in medical pigmentation and tattooing. Tattoo artists and non-certified artists are not required to be any of those.
• Our certified specialists use specific medical-grade inks and tattooing equipment designed specifically for each service type. Tattoo artists will use regular tattoo inks and equipment which can have different effects on the skin, body, and ultimately the tattoo outcome.
• Our office is a registered medical facility and any travel-based appointments are scheduled at plastic surgeon's offices. Tattoo artists typically work out of tattoo shops.
• Some of our select services can be potentially covered by insurance companies due to the medical nature of the service. Virtually no other artists offer this capability.

A common service we schedule our clients for is our corrective services due to complications that clients experienced from having prior work done by regular tattoo artists or by non-certified specialists. To schedule a corrective service click here!

Yes! However, this only applies to Tara's services with 3D Areola Complex and Scar Camouflage. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover the costs for permanent makeup tattooing.

No. However, our certified specialists can help guide or recommend your approach to your insurance company where your insurance company can then assist you in filing a claim.

The price of each service can vary and can be found here on our services page. Additionally, a deposit is required before visiting the office in Louisburg which will be applied to the total cost of desired service(s).

Each service and client is unique and therefore we allot estimated times for each service. During the consultation process, our certified specialist can provide you with an estimated duration based on the selected service(s), conditions, and individual components.

• Areola services typically take 60-90 minutes
• Permanent makeup services typically take 1-2 hours for each service
• Scar camouflage, Vitiligo, and Corrective services vary from case to case

Our certified specialists will provide our clients with the best possible experience to make each service as pain-free as possible. This is why our certified specialists use numbing agents and offer post-care instructions. However, each individual is different, and because each service is medical or cosmetic tattooing you might experience some slight discomfort. To counter this our team is dedicated to doing everything they can to provide you with the most comfortable experience possible.

Medical grade gamma sterilized inks designed specifically for each individual service made only in the USA.  We use pigments with the highest quality of colorants available in the industry, which is excellent in color retention and superior results.

Our inks are made from iron oxides, which have been used in the skin for hundreds of years, making them the safest pigments. Iron oxide pigments are MRI-safe.
